I am bored. Most of you are terribly uninteresting and practicing duelling spells on the house elves really does grow old after a few hours.

The ministry should let you do that to the protesters

I assume they managed to find some bleeding heart fools to sympathize with them somehow.

On house elves? Somehow I'm not surprised.

Well there are no Hufflepuffs in the house for me to use so I decided house elves were close enough.

I'm sure the lack of children to bully must make you miss Hogwarts.

They loose their appeal after the few spells as all they do is whimper and cry and it takes the fun and enjoyment out of doing anything to them.

I tried to order them not to cry when they are hit but even watching them punish themselves when they fail grew tiring.

That is precisely the reason why your Uncle and I go through so many house elves. I get sick of listening to them whine. Eventually, they all whine and cry no matter how much you order them not to. It grates on my nerves.

You really oughtn't treat your house-elves in that way.

Why not? They practically ask for it.

They are harmless. If you're looking for a duelling partner, there are plenty of options available to you.

But Uncle Alphard, I am using them to better my skills.

Besides, if they attempted to do anything to my food I would just order them to go get themselves eaten by a large and vicious beast.

Mice would be better to practice on, Bella. They're quicker and aren't required to sit there and take it. It will sure up both your aim and timing.

Have you, perhaps, given any thought to charity work, Bellatrix? We can always use more help.

That would depend on what interested you, of course. There are a variety of charities that can always use more help. What sorts of things are you interested in, my dear?
